East Village Tavern:
With all of the fancy new wine bars and Euros being spent here, NYC seems so international that even the locals are starting to feel like tourists. Until now—rep’ing for down-home culture, the East Village Tavern is a straight-up American bar. Offering a rotating selection of 16 American-brewed draft beers and another 16 by the bottle or can, there’s also bar food, traditional—you guessed it—American grub. Black Angus sliders and sweet potato fries pair perfectly with the drink selection and are easy to share. A booming jukebox plays favorite tunes (‘merican), while flat-screen TVs are tuned to sports (also ‘merican). With a fun, young crowd and a robust happy hour featuring $3 draft beers, East Village Tavern just might be the breeding ground for the next surge of patriotic pride. One visit here and you’ll completely forget how upset you were over the sale of Budweiser to that Belgian company.

I like the relaxed hang at the bar vibe in this joint. It also helps that I live 2 blocks from there. Food was real good , not your chicken finger crap niether. The only sell Amwerican beer on draft and it is all good. See for yourself but I would recommend
