Feile: It's no shocker to learn that Feile means hospitality, as the Irish restaurant and pub is one of the best-run joints in the city. It needs to be, due to its location in the Bermuda Triangle of MSG pre and post-gamers, commuters and Midtown happy hour heroes. A solid craft beer list ($5.50-$10) that includes 12 rare finds (like the 22 oz. Brew Dog Punk I.P.A from Scotland, $14), food that's a lot better than it needs to be, and a pleasant ambiance (well, as pleasant as a sports bar can be) are enough to lure in a crowd, but what really separates Feile from its competitors is the speed and friendliness of the service. Drinks are made strong and snappy, pints are refilled ASAP, and you can even get one of those big HDTVs quickly changed to the game of your choice (yes, even if your choice happens to be the other football). Best of all, patrons are still flooding Feile’s overcrowded and overworked sister bar Stout, so, at least for a little while, this can be your home away from (or on your way to) home.
