Fish & Sip:
The grub at this Park Slope spot is excellent and low-priced, but don’t be fooled by the name— if you’re looking to sip on anything stronger than a cherry coke, you’re out of luck. As of this writing, Fish and Sip is still waiting to procure that always-essential beer and wine license. In spite of that (somewhat serious) detraction, this is still a spot worth checking out if you’re craving an authentic battered seafood dinner. Compared to similar eateries in Manhattan, the prices here can’t be beat—$6.95 will net you a platter of fish and chips seasoned with their signature homemade garlic-dill yogurt dressing. Here’s hoping the booze license comes through in the near future; sodas are nice, but greasy fish and fries really go better with a nice cold mug of suds.
