Six TVs and a seven-foot screen showing golf, football, and basketball. Images of John Wayne’s The Quiet Man. Classic rock tunes playing on the jukebox. And don’t forget darts…lots of darts. Welcome to Fitzgerald’s Pub, where happy hour lasts from noon-7pm every day. Does it get any better than this? We think not, especially since good old-fashioned Irish grub like shepherd’s pie is available in between pints of Guinness. Host to a variety of regulars, this local Irish pub boasts a large number of barstools in a comfortable, homey setting. But just make sure you don’t grab a stool too close to the dartboard, or you may fall victim to a drunkard’s runaway arrow.
From Dec. - Jan. 2007/8 we've stayed in NY in a hotel nearby the Fitzgerald's. If we had not have had the hotel nearby the Fitzgerald's, we might not have found this pub, as NY offer numerous opportunities, but we really enjoyed each evening we have spent there (yes, we have been there several times!). We liked the ambience, the music and the staff is very friendly. Last but not least: prices are really decent for NY standards. So, on all accounts, we can only recommend this pub.
