Fontana's:
A B&T/Upper East Side explosion has all but devastated the Orchard Street area, scattering the rockin’ hipster scene all over the Lower East Side. A chunk of it has landed on Eldridge Street and that chunk is known as Fontana’s. With a band area downstairs, a long bar up front, and a cool back room where a mezzanine overlooks a movie screen and pool table, this place works on the same level as The Delancey, Lit, and similarly funky shabby-chic joints that are being chased out of this area as it becomes Meatpacking District South. Pastel blue walls, tattoo-style paintings, and candy-red booths surround the unpretentious crowd that have all but conceded Max Fish to the tourists on weekends. A good-looking and accessible bar staff seals the deal.
Classy place with great music, awesome parties, chill atmosphere and sweet music venue. Happy hours are always fun to go relax, listen to tunes and play pool. Highly recommended in my book!

Fontana's is one of those great classy-yet-divy spots in chinatown that is experiencing a nice boom right now. It's landed parties ranging from the uberfuckingcool, to weekend jam-packed dance parties, to industry schmoozefest showcases. The staff/security are real cool all the time, and the decor is top notch. I love the rock-art, high ceilings, and lounge appeal, and the show space downstairs is a refreshing switch to punkdive basement fair. There's also me, cos I'm always there.

I think the staff are great, it's nicely spaced out, the jukebox rules and I have seen some great bands and attended a lot of fun parties there. They have my vote!

Great place to have a party, very large and no annoying door problems.
