The next time you’re tempted to brown bag it in Union Square (you’re so busted!), toss that hooch in the trash and head over to Forum to get your drink on. Pop may be long gone, but you can still get your fill of sliders or nibble Angus beef and kielbasa meatballs while you shake off the drudge of that 9 to 5 with a Julius Caesar (vodka, Grand Marnier, blood orange puree, and a splash of lime juice, $12). The spacious spot has a 50 foot long mahogany bar as well as swanky leather booths in the back if you’re feeling VIP. After dark, a DJ sets up shop to blast beats for the trust fund kids and while you may think this is a good time to go back to brown-bagging or jump in front of an oncoming bus, cozy up to one of 'em and maybe you can get in on that tab.
I wanted to thank Forum for being everything other places are not in NYC. I had my 28th bday party at Forum this Sat night and they were so accommodating. They were great with letting me bring balloons and cupcakes for my guests. The party was unbelievable with great music and super polite staff. I think this might be the last place in NY to still have reasonable priced drinks at a "cool" spot. I had a great birthday and they delivered on everything that was promised. I highly recommend.

I never write about my experiences online but I feel that I have too about how great Forum is. I decided to have my bday party dinner at Forum with 10 of my friends and let everyone else meet us there later. To avoid the headache of multiple venues I thought this would easiest. Although I was not expecting the best food in my life I was wrong. The food was DELICIOUS! I mean everything, from the apps to the main course. When the waitress found out it was my birthday she also has the bartender send over a round of shots on the house! After dinner was complete (which I cant stress how good it was) we moved into party gear. This place did it right, period. The tables are fantastic (big and swank), the music was unbelievable, the drinks were on point, and the whole room was rocking! The main point about about Forum from just about every other venue I have ever entered was the service. From the doorstaff telling me to enjoy my evening, to the gorgeous waitress, the dj who ACTUALLY PLAYED MY SONG (this never happens), to the impeccable bathroom attendants, this place is perfect. I really do not know who can find fault with this establishment, but I want to thank Forum for making this the best bday I have had in a long time. I WILL BE BACK!!!!!!!!!

My party was ruined! I had reserved a table and while I invited my friends to arrive for 10:30, once I was there, I was told the tables are only set up at 11. Finally, by the time my table was set up - I was placed in one and then had to move b/c the waitress messed up and seated us at the wrong table. We were moved to a table that was 1/2 open - by the bar, where people kept bumping into it. THEN to make matters worse, NYPD came to the bar and closed it for the night, then kicked everyone out. While I was trying to chase down the waitress to get my credit card and ID back, she tried to charge me for the entire bottle, of which 1/4 was actually drank and then somehow disappeared in the mass exodus from the bar. TO TOP IT ALL OFF, my boyfriend who couldn't be there, bought a bottle of champagne and sent the bar a card, to have them give to me once I arrived....all of which never happened. So on top of having to make sure I wasn't charged, I have to make sure my boyfriend is refunded and hopefully somehow get my birthday card back. My birthday was ruined. So unprofessional and no manager in sight to offer an apology. I will NEVER suggest this place to anyone...my night was ruined.

Went there to meet some friends for dinner Fri night and discovered a great space. Food was unbelievable and the bar gorgeous. Love the look of the place and you must try one of the specialty drinks.
