Full Circle Bar: If you think the Williamsburg childhood-regression game trend is starting to get a little out of hand, we understand. In fact, here's your latest example: someone has opened a bar dedicated to freakin' Skee-ball. Lest you think this is the work of the Burg's most arch ironists though, keep in mind that Full Circle was opened by long-time Brooklynites and commissioners of a national league as a home base for their goofy sport. Hell, even the name is based on obscure terminology (a win in this rousing game is 360 points—an, ah-hem, Full Circle). If you didn't need that explanation, you're most likely already a fan, which means you'll be excited to watch tournament matches on stadium-seating risers next to each alley, or on the big screen downstairs. Seriously. However, since organized play only take place three nights a week, you don't have to be a uber-fan to appreciate the place. That's because, with $3 High Lifes, a few tap brews, and the opportunity to watch, er, "more established" sports, Full Circle also functions as a pretty happenin' neighborhood bar. Good to keep that in mind if you're thinking of rolling in. Just don't expect a knock-off Nemo for your "full circle." |
