Gaslight Lounge:
You can just tell that Gaslight isn't quite like the other places in the neighborhood. Sitting in its big, nice-looking corner—a see-all spot that nearby pretty boys like Spice Market surely envy—this regular guy still has a little flair. Victorian-style furnishings sit on hard wood floors, implying that this might have been the Marquee of Dodge City or the Cain Luxe of Tombstone. But fancy as it seems at first, this is a lounge that loves everybody. The doorman is primarily there to monitor occupancy numbers and the DJs play an all-things mix. Birthday parties are a big thing here as these guys will accommodate music and seating requests for the right groups. Check out their private lounge G2 for a sultrier scene. And don't forgot to grab a calzone at the pizza shop on the way out...
For any event inquiries please call Matt at 917.449.9400 and mention SHECKY'S for discount party packages, open bar deals and bottle specials!
Payed a visit to this bar while on our honeymoon last week and I seriously recommend you to check your change or ask for a receipt after paying. We are quite happy to tip but the bartender (blonde female who seemed a little worse for wear)charged us $10 more than she rang through the till while taking a tip also! I think this is disgusting and who knows how many this has been done to!

As the owner of a P.R. firm in the west village , it is very hard to find a space that can accommadate all different types of events. Within the last 6 months we have had many events throuhout the meatpacking district but if you just look at Gaslight you don't realize it has 3 unique and seperate spaces. We have had a book signing event as well as a T.V. show premiere event both of which were held in gaslights V.I.P room which we didn't even know about until one of the courteus event planners took us through all 3 spaces. the events were from 40-70 people. After bad experiences with some of the areas other venues which resulted in hidden charges, booking at gaslight was a pleasure. After these 2 events we had a product launch and we needed a space for 170 people. We had it in G2, which is right next door to Gaslight. Not only was the seating and the space more than appropriate , the Food was excellent and also well under our budget. The event director and the chef worked with us to customize our menu for our event. It was a themed event and they provided us with a diversified and unique menue that perfectly suited our theme for the evening. After we had these 3 events , another client of ours requested a space for 350 people ,knowing the large venues in the area with all their min. requirement and very hight prices (room rentals bar min. and many extra costs , averaging from $150-$200 plus a person , Gaslight again came through for us below our budget and they can accommadate 400 people with Gaslight/G2 combined.Plus they did all this within a 1 week time frame!Open bar with full buffet/black tie affair and our client couldnt have been happier.

Don't know about the bar but had the pizza next door. It could not have been worse - like cardboard. Absolutely no flavor and ridiculously over priced.

Gaslight is my favorite bar..and this is why. Among the litany of trendy shops, clubs, and people, the Gaslight Lounge stands out as the one comfortable and relatively inexpensive bar in the entire neighborhood. When I walked in the other day, there was a movie being filmed outside and taking up part of the second lounge area known as G2. Since the main entrance was blocked, I walked into the pizzeria next door, which I found out is also part of the group, called Gaslight Pizzeria. After enjoying a surprisingly awesome buffalo chicken slice, I found my way into the main bar area. The hot female bartenders are always happy to serve you pints of tap beer at this old-world Victorian lounge. The décor is vintage and warm, if a little tattered, and that only adds to the charm. With lots of cushy seating areas everywhere, I was glad I got there early to reserve a nook with two couches for my group by the fireplace. By the time my friends showed up, the bar was already filled with the after work crowd vying for a piece of the hardwood. At some point, everyone started dancing. People were packed up to the French doors but the cocktail waitress kept our drinks filled. My friends and I were headed to Son Cubano at 10, but like many times before, I told them to meet me at Gaslight first to pre-game. We ended up dancing there until 11 and when we heard about the line to get in to salsa, we decided to stay at Gaslight! Another excellent night at the coziest bar on the Westside!

awful, just awful--the drinks were watered down and the people were right out a senior prom--I could just throw up from the place

I love to head out to Gaslight and have some drinks with my buddies. Every bartender just so happens to be a female; not too shabby!! With good-looking staff and thoughtful drinks special. What more could you ask for out of an after-work spot??

I attended a party at Gaslight with about 25 other people and the staff was absolutely wonderful. Gaslight even has catered menus if you choose to wine and dine. I also met the lady in the ladies restroom who was so helpful, and I gave her a $20 for helping make my event perfect!! This is the place you want to use for events... trust me!!

Went to Gaslight on Saturday night-had a great time. Really good looking crowd-very attractive women. Bar was fast and made great drinks. Want to try G2 their bar next door, next time looks as nice as Gaslight. Plan to go back this week.

In a neighborhood overwhelmed by out of town A-listers, Gaslight welcomes everyone and has drinks you can afford. No surprise they've been here so long.
