“What do you call a cow with no legs? Ground beef!” Okay, we promise Gotham Comedy Club will be funnier than that. At this NYC staple, you’ll laugh until your beer squirts out your nose—trust us, it’s a good thing. Roll with laughter as established and up-and-coming comedians that have appeared on shows such as “The Late Show,” “Comedy Central,” and “Politically Incorrect” take the stage. And with heavy-hitters like Jerry Seinfeld, Dave Chappelle, and Colin Quinn gracing the stage in the past, you know you’re in for a laugh riot. Admission is usually $12 plus a two-drink minimum, but during the weekend check the schedule; the cover charge varies based on performers.
The service was awful, the manager was rude beyond belief to our party, and the drinks were as weak as the comedians. Truly the McDonald's of comedy clubs, don't waste your time or the twenty dollars for cover plus two drink minimum (not included in previous mentioned cover). Try Comedy Cellar. P.S. I would have put zero stars but it is not an option.
