Hacienda de Argentina:
Rivaling Dr. Frankenstein’s lair, Hacienda de Argentina’s décor is seeped in darkness that’s offset by the abundance of flickering candles lining the bar and gothic candelabras topping tables. This Argentinean steakhouse attracts meat-lovers with its succulent carnivorous delights, like the Entrana ($17.95), a skirt steak grilled Argentinean-style and topped with chimichurri sauce. The dining room is mostly outfitted with large, bulky chairs and the occasional cowhide; the old-world feel is perfect for a romantic date or anniversary. Carnivore intoxication abounds here, though there are vegetarian-friendly items (gnocchi, $14.50) on the menu. Sit back, have a glass of Argentinean wine, and soak up the haunted mansion ambiance; just avoid eye contact with the eerie suit of armor standing guard near the kitchen.
