After only several months in operation, Industry Bar has already become a Hell’s Kitchen’s gay go-to for cruising and canoodling. The huge space packs in the pretty people, parked on funky couches that offer the perfect excuse to squeeze in next to your main squeeze—or someone else’s. It's established somewhat of a reputation for being slack on service, but even if the bartenders are a bit bitchy, you can't really blame them for not responding to shouts of "vodka cran!" over the deafening din of Katy Perry. While the clubby atmosphere makes the most sense for late-night clientele more interested in swapping saliva than stories, pairs of friends can be spotted catching up at the bar any time of day or night of the week. (Maybe it's the lure of the 2-for-1 happy hour until 9pm!) While the cash-only policy may be a drag, it’s hard to complain at a bar where Duane Reade’s cash-back limit can keep you working it all night long.
