Irish Exit:
This typical East Side pub was named for the Irish way of leaving a bar: tipsily booking it after too many drinks without saying goodbye. Thus the bartenders here are amply prepared to help you get your buzz on in the most no-frills, fratastic way possible—shot specials, happy hours and not a specialty cocktail menu in sight! They’ll pull you a pint of Harp, Bass,or Stella ($6 - $7), or you can just cut to the chase and start kickin’ back the Jame-ohs (a.k.a. shots of Jameson). The décor evokes, well, just about every other Irish pub in the neighborhood. The long wooden bar in the front of the space and a small room of tables toward the back leaves plenty of room for the popped-collars and admin assistants who drink here after business hours. After you’ve taken down a few too many “Red Headed Sluts” (the shots, obviously!) and do your own Irish Exit, don’t panic—you won’t be judged…you’ll be celebrated.
