Don’t let friends or out-of-town guests gaslight you into visiting this theme restaurant “for eccentric explorers and mad scientists.” You’d have to be mad to want to endure a meal here. Old horror movies play on the TVs and spooky sound effects add to the “atmosphere.” A tourist trap if ever there was one, the only mystery at Jekyll & Hyde is how they lure patrons into their lair. A staff of actors portrays kooky characters, interacting as you eat your meal and inducing indigestion with cringe-worthy puns. But don’t be too hard on them; they’re just trying to make a buck. Truly, the only monstrous thing here is the beer selection, which is impressive, but not a selling point. Sink your fangs into a real meal elsewhere.
