With an emphasis on beer in an antiquated ambiance (that’s old-timey, for you common folk), Jimmy’s has a feudal quality that is reminiscent of castles, arched doorways, and the knights of King Arthur’s court. In short, Jimmy’s is a guy’s paradise—minus the maidens. Unfortunately, the female sex isn’t exactly clamoring to get in. Too bad—the immense, dark paneling is a handsome backdrop for a night out on the prowl. If all this seems a touch Medieval Times, fear not; the tasty German eats (the mussels are sumptuous) are sure to have patrons feeling ready to slay a wild and wooly beast. Or at least brave the subway home.
