Juliet Supper Club: Said Romeo of Juliet, "O! she doth teach the torches to burn bright." No, he wasn't talking about this Juliet, but he might as well have, as the décor of this Chelsea hotspot—think gold mirrored tiles, reflective ceiling, Bungalow 8-style trees—is an eye-searing mix of opulence, glitz and cheese. But hey, the same could be said for most of the party-goers, fitting for the re-vamped venture from Jon B (Greenhouse), and brand new chef Mario Tolentino (winner of the Food Network's Chopped). Taking a nod from defunct spots like Lotus and Country Club, the 4,000-square-foot space is a Middle Eastern / Mediterranean restaurant from 5:30 to 11pm, before busting out the clipboards, the doorkeepers, and turning into a club/lounge complete with VIP rooms. Thus, typical rules apply: be dressed to impress in the latest skin-barring (ladies) or button-down (men) designer threads. And, for you Romeos seeking entrance into Juliet, you'd best know a promoter, know someone with a table, or be surrounded by a harem of well-heeled girls to ensure a hassle-free entrance. Otherwise, parting won't be very sweet sorrow.
