Kabooz’s Bar & Grill:
Have some time to kill before catching the LIRR or NJ Transit? In between gelling your hair and annoying others with your accent (we kid, we kid)? There’s no better place than Penn Station to spur the urge for a drink, and that’s just where you’ll find Kabooz’s. Whet the palate with a bit of American grub and celebrate the end of another work day with one of the 14 beers on tap. There’s sports on the TV, murals adorning the walls (who said this station had no style?), and commuters looking to unwind after a weary day. Happy hour is 4pm-6pm, with half-priced beers. If you’re waiting for someone before catching the train, there’s “outdoor” seating (near the Amtrak ticket counter). With plenty of ’booz at this bar, it’ll be a pleasant, if not drowsy, journey home.
Service is always fast. They usually ask what time your train leaves too. Drink specials are good and the drinks are well made - not watered down or skimpy on the alcohol. I've tried salads, sandwiches, spring rolls - it's all been good. After reading the other comments, I'll be trying the nacho's next. The only downside - the actual bar is always full!

Fast, polite, efficient service; relaxed, pleasant atmosphere, and delicious food. And then there was the chili. My wife makes world-class chili. Kabooz's must have stolen her recipe. In one word, Superb!

My family and I were looking for somewhere to get out of the cold and eat on New Year's Eve, and found Kabooz. I agree with the other comment about the nachos - they were fabulous! All of the food our party of 7 ordered looked great, and mine certainly tasted great. We will visit again the next time we're in the city!

I never miss Kabooz's when in Penn Station. The service is fast. My two favorites are their NACHOS which are the best I've ever had. They also have a vegetarian hero sub with grilled veggies and cheese that is out of this world. Also, the BEST potato salad I've had in a restaurant. Good drinks too!
