Friendly, classy and incredibly inexpensive (no, seriously), this authentic French bar delivers the kind of tasteful experience that could bump the area’s tourist to New Yorker ratio back towards even. Cozy up with your latest paramour at the long, thin bar and split a bottle of red (go on, live a little). Or, if you already blew your paycheck on Wicked tickets, come early for their stellar happy hour, featuring a few $5 wines and cocktails and appetizers, all at prices below $4.95. You’re likely to have enough leftover dough to splurge on a taxi and hightail it out of the hood…but be warned, you'll want to stay all night.
