La Cave des Fondus:
La Cave des Fondus is just that: a cave of fondue tucked underneath Jacques—and it introduces a whole new meaning of "bottle service" to SoHo. Following the traditions of Le Refuge des Fondus in Montmartre, the spot serves wine in baby bottles, so everyone from post-work bankers to post-shopping gal pals to post-study abroad college kids happily fill the restaurant-long tables with their suckling. The waiters may have been hired for their ability to put on a sexy French accent, but you'll be kept entertained while waiting between rounds. The close quarters and great acoustics provide for a night of intimate eavesdropping. The pots of fondue—creamy melted gruyere or sliced hanger steak—aren't cheap at $23 a head, but the generous portions will last you through several rounds of baby bottles. Open Sun.- Wed. 6pm-1am, Tues.-Sat. 6pm-2am.
