La Cocina:
A trip to La Cocina is what one would imagine the food court in a Mexico airport looks like—a tiny bar lined with a few stools underneath a big plasma TV where customers have the run of the remote. The drinks are cheap ($5 cheap if you order one of their nightly specials), the chips and salsa are complimentary, and the food is consistently decent. And even though it’s no-frills, there’s likely to be no wait either (unless you come for Cinco de Mayo, natch). Whatever the case, this franchise is the perfect place to rid yourself of the change you scrounged up from under the couch cushions.
