Landbrot: Finally a new spot in town unlike any other—er, except the Landbrot on the LES. Oh, and all of Germany. Okay, so it may not be the most unique spot on the planet, but the fresh German pastries, baked goods, sausages and sandwiches they’re serving up more than make up for any lack of originality. But don’t expect your run-of-the-mill eatery. The small West Village bar may have delicious sugar-infused carbs, a dimly-lit ambience complete with cozy balcony seating and even a wait staff sporting lederhosen-style suspenders, but the real draw here is the German brews. Choose from draft or bottled beer, and you won’t be disappointed when a large, frothy Hoss Neuschwansteiner (draft, $8) and Hopf Dunkel Weisse (bottled, $12) gets planted in front of you. Trust me—you’ll want to stay munching sweets and prost-ing brews all night long.
