Lansdowne Road:
Put the bats down, anxious Yankee fans - this place is not an ode to the Red Sox. Named after the famous rugby stadium in Dublin (the oldest in the world), Lansdowne Road comes to Hell's Kitchen courtesy of the fine folks at Scruffy Duffy's just around the way. That means they are serious about two things: beer and sports. Fourteen brew selections are on tap at the bar (along with 21 bottles) outfitted with an ice slab to prevent premature warming (you can still chug if you must). And the joint boasts 12 HDTV plasma screens with surround sound so missing a play is not an option, even if you are admiring the collection of world jerseys on display. Mounted stadium lights blaze in honor of touchdowns and home runs scored.
This place is so much fun, great crowd, great staff, and great beer! Came here with friends for the final four and had a blast!

I first came to this bar a couple of months ago, and I can't get enough of the place. I was plesently surprised with how large it is - lots of seats if you don't like to stand :-), all the great beers on tap and the amount of liquor they have in stock. The bar staff are very friendly, both day and night staff - I usually go after work around 6, and the bartender Anne is very friendly and always makes you feel welcome. You can tell that all the bartenders here know what they are doing and they all make you feel very welcome...... to the point sometimes it is hard to leave. This is a great place and I am very glad that I came across it, if you are in the area you should def call in. Oh yes eveyday until 4am they have 1 draught and 1 bottle beer on special for only $3, another great reason to go.
