Le Caire:
Among the hookah bars scattered throughout the East Village, it’s hard to pick a favorite. There are the ones that gladly serve the underage B&T kids, those complete with bouncers and covers, and the authentic hole-in-the-wall joints. And then there’s Le Caire Lounge—a small bilevel bar on an otherwise quiet block with a warm staff, the appropriate pillow seating, and $15 hookahs on weeknights ($20 weekends.) The relatively unknown Le Caire could be your next party spot with its bottle service menu, downstairs lounge, and tantalizing food to satisfy your post-smoking munchies. As an added bonus, you’re encouraged to bring your own music or requests for the DJ who will mix up the usual hookah tunes. In an effort to pull back the reigns on drunken amateur belly dancing, it’s a win-win.
I had made a reservation beforehand for my group of 15ppl and they had everything ready. We were promptly seated. The food was tasteful and hookahs were delicious. The waiting staff was courteous and very helpful. The best part was that despite being a big group we didn't feel rushed at any point. They brought out our birthday cake with a candle and the dj wished our friend a happy birthday, which was really nice. I loved everything about this place, it was charming, romantic and a very fun place to go for dinner/party- I am definitely going back!

I have to thank Shecky's for this place as I searched for a hookah lounge for my 26th birthday since I wanted it to be different and authentic when I came across Le Caire here and it seemed interesting. We had our tables reserved and we were served by a lovely waitress who was always checking on us if we need anything despite the fact that it was Friday night and it was busy. The whole theme was great with the hookahs, authentic food, belly dancers, and the DJ playing unbelievable music. I have to mention that the owner got us a complimentary bottle of champagne for my birthday toast and that was a nice surprise. Thank you all for having an amazing time.

Went there on a Thursday with 5 of my girlfriends for hookahs and drinks during their happy hour. We were greeted by a lovely waitress and we were given one of the low tables on the upper level. The place wasn't really busy until around 11pm when it got busy but still our waitress was checking on us all the time. The music was great too. I really loved this spot and i'm gonna have my birthday there in April but first i wanna come in on a weekend and try the downstairs as it seemed cozy too.

A group of friends and I went to LeCaire last weekend after dinner just to chill and enjoy some hookah. Unfortunately, we were greeted by a crowd on B&T underaged drunken teens. This place is really small and unaccommodating - the waitress was less than pleasant. BTW: be prepared to give up your credit card to be held as collateral. This is not a place to just chill - between the nasty wait staff, overly eager teenage crowd, whack music and the shoe-box size of this place - I will not be returning there, EVER. (I would not even have given it one single star, but I have to...)

Take your date there with confidence. If you can't get the VIP tables, you can always sit down stairs which is also very cozy. Smoking hookah with your date while drinking is a win-win:)

Went there on Thursday with my gf and we sat in their vip table which was in a corner with drapes and cushions on the floor. It was really cozy and it makes smoking hookah different experience. I can't believe we sat there for over three hours that we enjoyed every minute of it with the great staff and service we got
