Don't be surprised if the line is out the door when you get to Le Paddock—locals are definitely excited to welcome a new restaurant to the very residential 'hood that is Windsor Terrace. And they should be—this quaint ‘n’ cozy family joint (hope you like babies!) is a perfect fit for the area. Take a seat inside its cozy interior and read the menu by candle light (hint: it’s easier if you remember a few things from French 101). If you're having a tough time deciding between the daring French options (chicken liver mousse, anyone?) you can always stay safe with pizza; the brick oven is left over from the previous shuttered Italian joint. Wash that pie down with a bottle of "Tours D'amelie" Chardonnay (a $28 bargain that it sells out quickly!) or choose from a selection of beer (Radeberger, Blanche de Bruxelles, Gavroche, etc., $6-$10). This bistro and wine bar is definitely not the place for a crazy drunken night, but for a chill date night filled with conversation and a dash of when-we’re-older, it’s a sweet little spot.
