La Quenelle offers a classic take on classic French cuisine without being classically boring. The restaurant is small, but cozy, with white tablecloths, cool lighting, and hip artwork. Signature dishes include Goat Cheese & Artichoke Ravioli ($16), Long Island Duck Breast ($29), and, of course, the La Quenelle de Brochet with Seafood Risotto and Lobster Foam ($27). Also available is a five course tasting menu and a wine pairing menu. The accompanying wine list pairs well with the food and a lengthy dessert menu featuring items like Crepes Apple Tartin ($13) and Creme Brulee ($11) makes for a nice ending. La Quenelle is one classic that’s here to stay.
