Little Town: If there’s one thing New Yorkers love, it’s New York, so it’s not surprising that Little Town is already hitting it big in Union Square. Formerly Vintage Irving, the open-air space is a veritable homage to all things Empire State, including over 70 different types of local brews ($5-$7) and the bar food you love to pair them with (think buffalo wings, reubens). If you’re usually more into Bud Light than Bluepoint, not to worry—the servers really know their stuff, and you can try a flight of four tastes followed by a pint of your favorite for only $12. Wines and spirits are also sourced from New York, and with prices ranging from $6-$11, there’s no reason to be shy about trying something new. Speaking of which, their signature garbage wings are not to be missed, but for a real gut-buster, opt for the $14 garbage plate (a ridiculous combo of every bar food you can imagine). With minimalist wooden décor, including the requisite flat-screens and a large map highlighting the location of the breweries, Little Town keeps the focus on the good stuff, and that’s the big pint of suds in front of you.
