Littlefield: An artsy, eco-friendly music venue in an old Brooklyn warehouse? Now we've heard everything! Okay, it sounds played out, but this 6,200 square foot bar/arts center in Gowanus is a must-see. Outside, the spot boasts an intimate open-air courtyard; inside, there's a bar and lounge spacious enough to accommodate a 300-capacity performance area, plus a cool sliding wall to separate the bar for smaller shows. And all in attendance will be partying green—Littlefield’s bar is fashioned from salvaged wood from old bowling alleys, and the spongey black sound-dampening walls were, in a previous life, the tires from your dad's old Buick. The drinks here are very reasonable, and, with help from Tona Palomino of WD-50, suprisingly creative (this is not normally the place you'd expect to get a spiked ice cream float, but you can). Even if you're more in the mood for something simple (like a few beers and your friend's indie-rock band), you're still in the right place.
