Lunetta:
CLOSED. At Lunetta, owner/chef Adam Shepard respects that customers may actually know a thing or two about wine (without making them shell out the bucks for a bottle). This place hand picks selections from small Italian producers all over Italy—like St. Michael of Eppan in Alto Adige (just be grateful you don't have to find it on the map) and Les Cretes of the val d'Aosta. Confused? We are too. We thought Lunetta was a sleeping pill. You won't be snoozing at this spot though, but we can't promise you won't want to head straight to bed after all the wine. Their impressive list reads like a who's who of the country's best artisanal vineyards, and the food is nothing to shake a branch at either. The textured wall coverings and dark lighting set a sleepy mood, and also obscures what the people at the next table are wearing (let alone eating). Call it fashion-maven unfriendly if you like, but no one should wear clothes in bed anyway.
