Let’s get this out of the way: South Street Seaport is a tourist trap, and the only good reasons to be down here are being a tourist, escorting tourists, or buying some tees at Abercrombie. Still, MacMenamin’s does help soften the blow. Located on the third floor of the Pier 17 mall in a space normally reserved for Sunglass Huts or an Orange Julius, this pub dishes out $5 pints and tasty, reasonably priced burgers. If you have flashbacks to that Bennigan’s from college, just step outside to the terrace and fugheddaboudit with the view of downtown Brooklyn across the river—then have another pint and remember that you were once a tourist too.
If you are going to eat in New York, being a New Yorker, well Staten Islander, myself, you have to accept the prices, however I have been going to Macmenimums for a couple of years now, the prices are excellant. Where else in the city can you get a delux burger with cheese fries and a pt of beer for $11! You want to go blow twenty something on that in Times Square be my guest, but if you just looking for a quick/cheap bite to eat, between shopping with friends, try Macmeninmums out, you can decide for yourself. And if you going to get fish by the way, try a seafood place, not an Irish pub ;). Wouldn't reccoment the fish, but the burgers are classic.

I don't know what they are talking about. I recently, key word recently, went to this resturant and found the atomosphere most humble. The food wasn't fancy, but its a great family place, with some really wonderful people, working there. If you want cheap, decent eats, I completly recommend Macmenimums Irish Pub, sit back with a few friends or your family and take a little while to enjoy life. :)

Unbelievably bad! We are sitting outside with a view of the East River and the ocean, and they bring our fish and chips - and it is unmistakably the frozen fish fillets you buy at Key Foods for $7 a box!! And they charged $9 for three disgusting pieces! Please please please never ever ever consider eating here. Seriously.
