If you have never called yourself a Razorback, then you can go ahead and just stop reading right now. If you have, then you probably already have a running tab at Mad Hatter Saloon. The Murray Hill Irish pub sets itself apart from all of the other Murray Hill Irish pubs by rendering itself an ode to all sports Arkansas. The main room is typical enough—bar, flat-screens, you know the drill. But someone's dad got a hold of the back room and transformed it into a 1970s den-style salute to the Hogs. Cheaply framed Sports Illustrated covers are bolted to wood-paneled walls, jerseys and memorabilia hang in every free spot, and a pool table, dart boards and Buck Hunter allows fans to quench their own competitive lusts between quarters. Like its neighbors, Mad Hatter is where you go to watch the game and get drunk fast (and then consume the "I'm @#%*! Loaded fries, $6). Hogs aside, a hidden gem awaits those who can be bothered to schedule a trip on a non-game day: a backyard garden that is almost inappropriately serene and charming. If only the same could be said for those Razorbacks.
