Mari Vanna:
Don't be surprised if you have to press a few buttons before you get buzzed into Mari Vanna; it's all part of the fun. Once in, you'll find the lounge and restaurant is both welcoming and eccentric, just like your grandmother’s house (if she lived in St. Petersburg). Think antique nesting dolls, traditional home-style Russian cuisine, and over 200 types of vodka. Even the chocolates in the crystal candy dishes have a vodka filling. Nice touch, bubbie! Make sure to check out the ladies room, it’s wallpapered with vintage Soviet fashion mags. Feel free to carve your initials into one of the doors. While currently only hosting private parties, entrance keys will be given to regulars, be it borscht-loving models or businessman types.
I was in July in MV and I have a very good experience ,I was walking on the street and I sow this beautiful restaurant we didn't have reservation and the manager Victoria invite us to the bar ,the drinks were really good ,in the beginning the bartender was clueless but with an eagle eye one of the managers went behind the bar and fixed our mojitos ,later on we find out that he was the wine director ,he recommend us to look the wine list which by the way was very good wines from France , America, Italy , Spain . the beer list was outstanding and very different from any other restaurant, the food was good ,the branzino whole was delicious as well the Oliver salad ,for our surprise they had great cheeses also. But everything has change now no hospitality what so ever my boyfriend ask for the gracious and polite wine director and they tall us he was not there any more so do the lovely drinks and soul of this wonderful place..

BRUTAL!!! The ownership group will throw everything but the kitchen sink at you to get you to like this place. The "key" concept is not very smart as it will limit the inflow of new customers, having hockey players as Ovechkin and Kovalchyk do a cook off is also not very smart. Hockey isn't very popular in America. They would be better off having Derek Jeter do that. Who cares about Kovalchyk or Ovechkin??? But hey I hear that those two love vodka, maybe they can play shooters - that'll be fun!
