McAleer's Pub:
McAleer’s is a clean and mellow standout of an Irish pub on that strip of Amsterdam Ave. that’s home to bars that don’t require wealth and status. An impressive set of draught beers, plus a real dinner menu and plenty of TVs, make this a place for regulars to live in and walk-ins to make a night of. The crowd gets younger as the nights get longer, and Midnight Madness, aka an incredibly generous happy hour running from midnight to close Sunday-Tuesday, makes the usually quiet nights a little louder. Yet another distinctive element is the weekend brunch known as “The Hangover,” featuring the self-proclaimed “Best Bloody Mary in Town,” plus a nourishing Irish breakfast and coffee.
Mac is still the coolest! My mom told me about this place. She came here here before she met my dad. I think the food is great and just love popping in after a long day of classes. Keep it up you guys!!! Dave the bartender is pretty hot too!!

These guys have been around for quite a while now and it's no wonder. The place is CHILL and the beer is too. There's nothing else to say except thank goodness for Mac's. It's my home away from home.

Hey, I've coming here for years and the place is always evolving. That's what I like about Mac's. After the NYC smoking ban killed many a night spot the food at McAleer's got better and more diverse. My hats off to Keith McAleer

Used to be great until they got rid of all the good staff.

while the pub food is better than most, prepare to rub elbows with off duty cops at the bar.
