Nearly a world unto itself, it’s hard to squeeze style or charm (definitely not both) into the ubiquitous utilitarian atmosphere of Port Authority, aka the seventh circle of hell. When you’re stuck waiting for NJ Transit to run on time (keep dreaming), McAnn’s is a pit-stop smack-dab in the, well, armpit of Manhattan. There are TVs to catch the game and happy hour is from 5pm-8pm (though some might argue that happy hour is when you get to leave this place). Let’s face it—nobody wants to be here, but McAnn’s and its pints will at least soften the blow.
Very friendly atmosphere. The bartenders and server are a charm with their irish accents. Very attentive. There will always be someone to talk to. Thursday nighst is simple awesome; you can be yourself and let your light shine while singing your heart away. Everyone will be a fan and everyone will join the party. If they don't they will prefer it to reality-TV.
