Sprouted from its famed taco truck mama, Mexicue’s second brick-and-mortar outpost is yet another tribute to beefy barbecued goodness wrapped in a spicy taco shell. This new Lower East Side locale features the signature BBQ brisket sliders ($4) and smoked short rib tacos ($4) that bloggers stamped with the food porn label long ago...but now, with chairs! The restaurant keeps its interior modern with a punchy orange color palette, salvaged wood beams and stainless steel throughout. Additional decoration comes from the city's prettiest patrons, who mingle throughout the space sipping Mexican beers in a can until 2am. And why wouldn’t they? It’s better than truck food and a 40 on the curb!
