Meze Lounge: Meze Lounge isn’t a “lounge” so much as it is “a bar at the front of a restaurant,” but thanks to its sleek look and extensive wine list (we’re talking hundreds of bottles), odds are nobody will mind…or be sober enough to tell the difference. Located in the upscale Greek restaurant Thalassa, the white-tiled, blue-backlit bar is flanked by singles awaiting their dates and flirty 20-somethings hoping to snag a Greek shipping tycoon to call their own. Everyone chats up the exceptionally friendly bartender as he mixes a Kerkira (gin, raspberries, agave, bitter orange and lime, $13) or Ouzo Mojito ($13), and those looking for a bite can order from the seafood-heavy menu. Just know there’s nary a fried squid ring in sight, as the calamari comes grilled and stuffed with feta, tomato and pine nuts ($14). Hmm, maybe this place is more than a bar after all…!
