Milady's:
Just when you thought your days of attending basement parties were over, Milady’s comes along and totally redeems the concept. Traditionally thrown by high schoolers, this genre of throw-down usually involves sneaking past a neighbor’s house and creeping downstairs into a haven of hormone-raging kids drinking Boone’s and Pabst Blue Ribbon. Equipped with low ceilings, a pool table, jukebox, simple table and bar seating, and an overall neighborhoodish atmosphere (NYC firehouse and police precinct memorabilia is posted proudly over the bar), Milady’s will make you feel like you’ve escaped the trials of your teens, but not the drinking days of your youth. Even if you weren’t cool enough to swing an invite in high school, all you need is a valid ID at Milady’s to rock the basement party right.
Very friendly staff and customers. Unpretentious and laid back, a rarity for this part of the city...hell, for most parts of the city. Jukebox is still packed with a great selection of music that jives well with the "friend's basement" atmosphere.
