Mission Dolores:
Though the Mission Dolores is better known as a house of worship in San Francisco, the beer garden of the same name in Brooklyn already has a religious following. Housed in a former auto-body shop, Mission Dolores proves that just about any space can be called a beer garden these days. In this case, they just needed to open some garage doors and throw a few dozen beers on tap. There’s also whiskey if beer’s not your thing (um, you are at a beer garden, ya know?). Despite the lack of traditional beer-guzzling accoutrement, the recycled furniture, pinball tables and super-relaxed vibe makes this spot worth a visit. So make it your mission to spend an afternoon lounging in coveted outdoor real estate next to a few friendly hipsters and random pinball wizards.
