Don’t let the location fool you, the atmosphere at Mole is worlds away from the rest of the Williamsburg scene. Whether that’s a good thing for you, depends on just how far you want to get from the hustle and bustle of Bedford Ave. With an impressive selection of 80 tequilas, a refreshing margarita made with fresh-squeezed limes and rimmed with chili salt (only $5 during happy hour!), and legit cuisine perfected by husband-and-wife team Nick Cervera and Lupe Elizalde, both the food and drink menus can whisk you away to south of the border. But the location within the ground floor of the mega-condo, The Edge, gives Mole a more suburban feel, and its patrons only reinforce that vibe. While the large patio is a welcome addition to the alfresco dining scene, it can only transport you so far, as the view of the river is obstructed by the surrounding concrete towers. The hipsters may still swear by their taco trucks, but the rest of Williamsburg will be glad to have a new dining option on the scene.
