Graydon Carter's Monkey Bar is more than just an uptown version of the Waverly Inn: The setting is that perfect mix of elegance and high-powered drive that makes everyone feel like they’re stepping onto the set of a James Bond movie. This place is swank--in fact, you can practically feel the energy of movers and shakers who’ve tossed back their martinis here while taking in the frisky simian motif. Once you perch yourself on one of these olive-shaped bar seats, it seems as though almost anything can happen. Be prepared for a meat-centric meal, however--Monkey Bar doesn't really do vegetables. Open 2pm-4am daily.
