Montenapo:
The newest venture, from Managing Partner, Joseph Juck, and the owners of HK Hotels and Hospitality, takes its name from the most important street in Milan's fashion district, Via Montenapoleone, but the restaurant is most definitely in NYC--in the NY Times Building, to be exact. The 200 seat restaurant and bar faces a glass enclosed garden complete with 50-foot-tall birch trees. Expect classic Italian fare based on fresh seasonal organic ingredients created by Chef German Lucarelli.
The restaurant boasts a “Chef’s Table” for parties of eight to twelve. Those fortunate enough to make a reservation for that table will receive a customized menu as well as visits from the Chef to share culinary insights.
The restaurant also boats an extensive wine list, designed with only Italian wines.
yes, K Asony is correct about the Kallan. My experience was he was a liar as well as opportunist. A predator and probably loves the feedback no matter how negative. EVery dog has its day, and this junkyard dog is operating on borrowed time. lovely interior food is trendy like bice....

Bice was involved, they are no longer connected with the restaurant because no one is willing to work with Henry Kallan, none of the original partners or investors. It is a same story all over again with Kallan. Stay away from this restaurant and from this guy, no mater how much you like the food or decor, DO NOT GO HERE. He cheats and lies. There are so many decent, honest and hard working restaurant operators that deserve our patronage. And Jozef Juck, managing partner is a thief. Go to: http://www.ctb.uscourts.gov/SelOpinDoc/Squillante-Juck01-51123.pdf These 2 guys deserve each other.
Yes, Henry Kallan is a liar and hypocrite. Just talk to any of his partners. He is one of those people who make up such bullshit lies that they themselves believe them. If you do anything with him make sure every detail is in writhing. He will twits and change everything that is not written in stone. Juck will end up as everyone: not talking to him. Half of his relatives and most of his partners or business associates are not talking to him. Stays tuned.

This is my new favorite go to spot. Delicious food, reasonably priced, savored in a setting of majestically high ceilings overlooking a birchtree garden. And right in midtown. What more could you want?
