Mustang Harry's:
Go Knicks! Go Rangers! No? Well, you should still check out Mustang Harry’s, a Chelsea standby since 1996. Only two blocks from Madison Square Garden, it’s worth hitting for the cheap eats and, of course, the beer. Everything from hot Mustang wings ($6.95) to a warm mushroom salad ($9.95) to a 10-oz. filet mignon ($26.95) is available here, in addition to 10 beers on tap. Those coming strictly for the food should head for the mezzanine level, which overlooks the main dining hall and is therefore a bit more private and out of the way. And those who enjoy crowded spaces can suck down a brew while being walled in on all sides by art-deco glass panels downstairs. It beats shelling out top dollar to watch your team choke in person at MSG.
Love this bar before a hockey game, plenty of room, food is good, service great. Location A+, right by the Garden and Penn station.

Been to Mustangs many times. It is my place to go when seeing a show at the garden. Very clean, great atmosphere lots of fun as show time approaches and the crowd swells and the beer flows! Love those big burgers and the reubens are excellent. 100 foot bar (I am almost certain) lots of tables, mezzanine with more tables. Love this place! In fact I will see you guys November 13th for AC/DC warmup. By the way all, after about 4:30-5:00 the only music played is that of the band at the Garden! Another great touch, See ya at Harrys..........
