Ninth Ward:
First up—the name. What were they thinking?! Of all the New Orleans neighborhoods they could have picked, they choose one associated with wind, and flooding, and, well, you know the story. But if you can get past the meteorological association, you’re actually in for a solid time. The bar drips with southern gothic style—there’s dusty liquor bottles lining the walls and wooden storm shutters on the windows. It’s kinda like you’re boozing in the movie The Skeleton Key (remember: it only can hurt if you believe). The interior is incredibly dark, perfect for casting some voodoo spells on your date, but if you want a little sunlight, grab a stool in their spacious outdoor garden. They’re serving up authentic New Orleans libations that will leave you authentically drunk—an absinthe-rimmed Sazerac ($13) is the drink of choice for the crowd full of local booze hounds. Chase it down with a Louisiana-brewed Abita Light ($7) as you camp out in one of the spacious back booths and snack on their southern-style light bites (an oxymoron?). Just remember, when you order a drink, don’t be crass—stay away from hurricanes.
... was constantly screaming out her window into the bar's garden complaining about the noise. And this was at 9PM !! The place is way too crowded: took me 10 minutes and my elbows to get a beer.

Nice Decor, but too Crowded for fun
This place looks awesome during the early hours, but wait until 10 and it's so crowded it takes 10 minutes to get a beer and you cant even move. Also, the outdoor space is closed on weekend nights.
