Nitehawk Cinema:
Nitehawk has finally swooped in as Williamsburg’s first multiplex theater, and the long-awaited venue brings much more than a silver screen—including personal tables in front of each red seat where, in lieu of their usual popcorn, movie-goers can enjoy expertly prepared dinner, snacks and dessert from renowned Brooklyn chef, Saul Bolton. Although state law prohibits alcohol consumption inside movie theaters (something the owners are working on adjusting, fingers crossed!) visitors can partake in pre- and post-feature bevs at two bars within the compound. Cinephiles will delight in themed offerings (ex. Midnight in Paris was paired with a Country Pate and “French Connection” cocktail made with cognac, lemon, raspberry and Prosecco) as well as the retro feel of the main bar (complete with red vinyl booths and display cases full of vintage (antique?) VHS tapes).
