Numero 28 Pizzeria Napoletana e Ristorante: With a mouthful of a moniker like that, Numero 28 blahblahblah is luckily serving pizza that's a mouthful, too.The fourth Manhattan location in the quickly-growing franchise serves up large and authentic, brick oven Neapolitan ‘za using their own sui generis oblong-stretched dough. The pies come in 14, 18 and 29-inch sizes, with three varieties: the tomato-based rosse, the tomatoless bianche and the simply put “special pizza.” With toppings aplenty, ranging from the normal (buffalo mozzarella, parmesan and sausages) to the wacky (pumpkin seeds, truffle oil and pears), there’s surely a pizza permutation for everyone (prices ranging from $10-$36). The welcoming wood-everywhere casual restaurant also offers classic Italian dishes such as calzones ($18), eggplant parm ($9), and even homemade tiramisu ($7), while Negroni and Americano cocktails offer perfect tippling accompaniment ($12). With so many options, your mouth will rarely be empty enough to necessitate speaking this restaurant’s long name....
