O'Flanagan's:
At first glance, O’Flanagan’s could be considered a sports bar (they’ve got four 50” flat-screen televisions airing sports around the clock). But if your idea of being a team player involves the good ol’ Irish pastime of “Pass the Guinness,” then you’ve hit gold. O’Flanagan’s has procured one of those newfangled jukeboxes that plays MP3s instead of CDs, but at around 11pm the jukebox is unplugged and the band starts playing. Now you’ve got a choice—watch TV or the band (you’ll want to watch the band, of course). O’Flanagan’s cocktails are not very large, but their prices make up for that. Because even if you have to keep going back for refills (a good excuse to chat up a cute biddy at the bar), you won’t spend your whole paycheck.
It's true that O'Flanagans is a perfect blend of sports bar and Irish pub (there are a lot more flat screens than the review states), but it's a lot more. Excellent, inexpensive food from a large menu makes it a great eating spot too, and as far as small pours - not in my experience - some of the strongest drinks ever, and as good a pint of Guinness as you'll get this side of the Atlantic. Add the efficient and personable Irish native staff, the 2 pool tables & working fireplace in the back room, and you've found your ideal regular nightspot.
