Oficina Latina:
The name means “Latin Office”, but there’s nothing corporate about the funky vintage-like space that houses Oficina Latina—think brocade wall paper, whitewashed beams, floral upholstered seating and rustic tables. Sexy servers pass out arepas and tongue taquitos, but it’s the super-fresh drink menu that brings in the business. Cocktails ($12) like Ginger Margaritas, Passion Fruit Caipirinhas and Concord Grape Mojitos that change based on seasonality are incredible…and incredibly strong. Oficina also offers over 100 varieties of rum so you can really pick your poison. Sit at the bar and watch the (muy friendly) bartenders work their magic. Or, snag a seat by the fireplace in one of the comfy and oh-so-pretty chairs, and discuss redecorating your apartment as soon as you leave.

The tapas were amazing. I loved the Octopus. It was not chewy but more like lobster. The mix of vintage psychedelic tunes, industrial yet romantic atmosphere and innovative drinks makes this place very unique. No wonder it's so busy. AAA+++
