Pampano Botaneria: A new addition to Richard Sandoval’s Mexican/Latin American resto Pampano, the Botaneria boasts smaller plates (ahem, we call them tapas here in the States) than its upstairs neighbor and plenty of booze to boot. Eight specialty sangrias are yours for the taking, whether you sip from the glass ($10), slurp from a small pitcher ($30) or get a group together for a large pitcher ($42). The sangria selection is all in addition to specialty cocktails ($10-$14), wines (prices vary) and six Spanish beers ($7). Their queso fondue topped with chorizo ($9) is a delicioso indulgence and their albondigas (a.k.a. meatballs, $7) are to die for. When it comes to atmosphere, this all-white, almost heavenly haven is the perfect respite from the Midtown mishmash of cheesy chains and overplayed Irish pubs. By the time you're stumbling out the door (in a classy fashion, of course), you’ll be chanting mas, mas, mas!
