If French writer Pierre Loti (who wandered the bars of Istanbul penning his exotic tales) came across his newly-expanded namesake bar, he might just be inclined to write his most erotic tale yet. Now with double the seating and twice the bar space, you’d think that Pierre Loti’s cozy factor would be diminished—you’d be wrong. Owner Orhan Cakir actually manages to up the turn-of-the-century Ottoman charm with even more dim lights, red accents, and carved wooden tables than before, presenting daters with a romantic vibe that they’d have to be brain-dead to ignore. With a menu of mouth-watering small plates like filet mignon over lentils ($15) and perfectly pan-seared scallops over salsa ($14), you’d also have to be brain-dead to skip the eats (though dropping all your dough on their 65+ wines will be tempting). Bring a date—If you can't get sparks to fly at a place like this, you might be lost without a life lesson from Loti himself.
Totally sweet place with great food and atmosphere. Love it.

I finally made me why over to this place and I am so glad I did (I am a regular of Pierre Loti Wine Bar in Gramercy and wanted to check it out)! Food is great, very original and beautiful presentation and the waiters were sweet and attentive. I am looking forward to going back!
