Poco: It's the Spanish word for small, which is ironic, because the amount of booze you'll likely end up drinking at this East village hot-spot is decidedly non-poco. In fact, you might want to get an early start...specifically, Poco’s $22 “legendary brunch," an all-day celebration featuring unlimited Bloody marys, Mimosas, and Sangria with your Spanish-American entrée. But lest you be tempted to relocate once the sunlight does, Poco keeps the nights lively with recurring events and specials such as live jazz on Thursdays, comedy nights and Tuesday night tapas (and again with the unlimited sangria). For you folks who don't like your drinks unlimited, the cocktail list is both extensive (17 deep) and fairly priced (all $11). Aptly, this brick-and-wood box is on the poco side and brunch fills up quickly, so be sure to make reservations. Opens T-F, 5 pm, Sa-Su, 6:30 pm. Closes Th-Sa, 2 am, 12 am other nights. Open for brunch S-Su, 11:30 am-5 pm. |
