Press Lounge @ the Ink48 Hotel:
Let’s be honest, no matter where it is (even on 11th Avenue—ugh), no self-respecting New Yorker is going to refuse to try out a new rooftop bar. We may scoff at a visit to the Top of the Rock, but take us 33 floors up to the Press Lounge at the Ink48 Hotel and we’re like a tourist with a new snow globe. Yes, the requisite 360-degree views are no different from those at say, every other hotel roof deck in Manhattan, but the space itself is the real draw. There’s plenty of room to lounge in one the egg-shaped chairs lining the long, narrow pool (it’s not meant for swimming—but after a few $13 cocktails it may seem like a good idea). With no bottle service, no crazy-loud music and no fancy-pants door policy, Press is a breath of fresh air…and isn't that what rooftop bars are all about?
