Besides a new name and ownership, not much has changed at the former Galapagos Art Space (Galapagos has moved to DUMBO). Diversity still rules this performing arts venue where everything from hip-hop and techno to film screenings and burlesque acts harmoniously share the stage. Officially this summer's after-party spot for the McCarren Pool Parties, the space is still one of Billyburg's respected hangouts for music lovers and culture-seekers alike.
